So, are those typical numbers, getting in seven? or did you have to wheel and deal to get that many? How long till more would be available? I can't imagine you could pre-sell seven, then have to wait until the next model year to get more. But, stranger things have happened. As you can tell, I'm not in the spot to buy one right nowunless yer selling them for like half price but hope to get one before spring. |

So who scheduled your vacation immediately following the introduction of the new Buell models?...the BMW sales manager? No joy with selling the CityX or the wife's Sporty so far, or I'd be hollerin' at 'ya to check it out more closely. |

Usually they introduce a bike and then I wait, and wait, and wait to get some in. Not this time! Thanks Buell! How'd I get 7? I'll never tell. I think it might have something to do with selling about 50 new Buells in the last year and 3 months. I have more scheduled for later delivery. |

I have more scheduled for later delivery. Whew. That's all I needed to hear. I was afraid it was going to be like wanting an FJR a few years ago and told I have to wait for the next model year to come up if I want one. In hindsight, I'm glad I wasn't able to get one the day I walked in ready to write the check. |

Dave: I'm seegin a banner year. My local dealer has their first two pre-sold. Folks, it seems new to Buell, are snagging these up. Interesting to note the number of non-Buell Harley-Davidson dealers who ordered them for themselves after riding them in Colorado. Coooooooooooooooool ! |

My local "dropped Buell" (but clammed up all sorts of quick when I said "You mean you were dropped?"). They have a Uly and an SS on the floor. Well, the SS is on the floor, the Uly is in route and should be there tomorrow. They even said I could ride it . I'm thinking about heading straight off the parking lot through the ditch to get to the road . I probably won't though... Could you imagine their reaction ? |

M1 pleeezz do! Have someone film it, that would be soooo funny, i nearly wet my pants trying to picture their reaction. the way I see it: Have a safe ride: M1 heading for the ditch: The salesman trying to figure out where you are going: Then seeing you go through said ditch: Talking to himself: getting mad Him pondering how much this is gonna cost: then you return: M1 has had enough: then heads home to tell us all about how the new bike rode: Sorry Dave, couldn't help myelf, back to your normal posting. Wow! The XB12X's are really selling. My local dealer pre-sold the first two they are getting also. Doesn't look like they have to make any deals to sell these things. People are already lined up waiting for them. I'm saving my pennies for a black one with the low seat, bags and heated grips. Unfortunately my motorcycle funds are a little low after buying my XB12R. |

Careful with that "leaving the lot" stuntology. Some here may recall the big Buell event where Keith Ulicki decided to bring his RR1200 out of storage and let me take it out. It had the good ol' original 591's on it. In front of a crowd of about 250, I made by grand exit from the parking lot. Note to self: Next time make exit "less grand" and try to exude more self assurance during the "I meant to do that" bable. Court |

There's two. Both operated by the same owner. The one I was talking about is their sister store in Mayer AZ. Dave... I don't really know. They never took their Buell sign down. They sent all of their stock up to their Belmont store and got rid of all of the merchandise as well. They still have the big poster of the Blue 9R coming towards the camera on the wall though... One of the sales guys rides an S3 (real nice... Molten orange with the gunmetal grey looking bodywork...). At the point that I aked them they may have been just in the process or something and changed their mind? I don't know. I DO know that they had kept their Belmont store as a Buell dealer. One of their techs at each store is Buell trained. The Buell tech up north rides a 12R. I suppose they could theoretically be splitting their Belmont inventory between the two stores? I don't know. Maybe the dropping/being dropped by Buell thing didn't pan out? In any case, I just know what they said and that they still have a Buell sign and they'll still do warranty work for me. I can ask the service manager next time I'm in there about the details. If he tells me it's between he and I though... I'll probably keep it that way ... He DOES service my bike when it's a warranty claim. I hope you understand. Court... I'd like to hear the story some day. Maybe I'll be able to relate . |
