I admit, those mounts don't look as good unloaded as a Givi WingRack does, but I bet they add less cost to the bike. Personally, I'd want the bags mounted almost all the time - it's nice to be able to grab a gallon of milk on the spur of the moment, and I like to lock up my gloves and helmet before heading into the supermarket instead of carrying them around. I have a nice set of Chase Harper soft bags, but they aren't in the same league, and they sure can't stay on the bike in very many parking lots.   Cdallen Posted on Monday, July 25, 2005 - 11:07 pm:        Now that you mention it... I am used to not being able to fit my helmet in the a side bag. And best of all, when I take the helmet back out and put it on, it'll be just before I throw a leg over a BUELL - not some beast like my 1978 GoldWing...   Buelldyno_guy Posted on Tuesday, October 25, 2005 - 08:42 pm:        I have installed two sets and the instructions say use "Red" Locktite. There is a trick to the installation, it being: 1. Loosen up the three allen screws on each foot peg support leg. 2. Attach all the mounting hardware, keeping the screws loose but with (No Locktite) 3. From each side remove each screw one at a time apply Locktite and reinstall. 4. Do other side the same way. 5. Tighten all screws on one side at a time including the three you loosened on each leg (They need Red Locktite also.) 6.Install rub strips and bags. Again the supports don't want to be removed after installation. ... Terry PS I am going to make a couple of trick number plates to install when the bags are removed. ...
